Baseball outfits for Opening Day

If there is one thing that you need to know about me, it is that I LOVE baseball – mainly the Brewers! I grew up about 1.5 hours from Milwaukee, and every year my dad would try to make it a point to take my brother and me to a ball game. We made so many great memories together at the ballpark. Those childhood experiences are definitely what ingrained the love for the game that I have today.

Growing up, I would always struggle with what to wear to Brewer’s games. Because we lived so far away, we always made a day-long event out of heading to the ballpark. So it was kind of a big deal and of course I wanted to look good! My biggest issue was that I didn’t want to have to buy a new team shirt that I would likely only wear that day and then it would never see the light of day again.

As a young adult, I tried to solve that issue by stocking up on team gear when I found a good deal on it. I accumulated quite the collection of Brewer’s gear. That plan worked for a short while, but as styles and my preferences changed, the Brewer’s wardrobe that I had built up didn’t quite work.

I’m honestly kind of embarrassed to admit how long it took me to figure this out, but it wasn’t until my mid-twenties that I realized the power of a baseball cap. The styles of baseball caps don’t change nearly as quickly as the styles of most other articles of clothing. I think that I bought my favorite baseball cap 5 years ago. It’s still my go-to piece every time I’m attending a game. Of course, if you have a favorite team tee or jersey that you want to wear, you can pair a baseball cap with it. But the beauty of a baseball cap is that it can be thrown on with just about anything! As long as the colors coordinate, you’re good to go! Baseball outfits don’t have to be at all complicated.

Even though baseball season starts in March and marks the beginning of summer for many, we usually don’t start getting consistently warm weather until May or June here in Wisconsin. So I wanted to share some springtime baseball outfits right now. These are the types of outfits that you will find we wearing to the ballpark until the weather warms up!
