Basic Tanks to Transition from Summer to Fall

Since the season is starting to wind down, right now is an excellent time to stock up on summer basics.  Most retailers are really ramping up for fall at this point and are probably going to want to really push through any overstocks in summer inventory that they may have.  You will see this reflected in great sales and bargain clearance prices. One of my favorite items to stock up on during this time are basic tanks to transition from summer to fall.

It is no secret that I LOVE a good deal.  As fun as shopping the clearance racks can be, when all the retailers are trying to clear through their inventory at the same time, it can be difficult to turn down so many great deals. 

As a consumer, I sometimes find myself buying an item not necessarily because I need it, but because its price is such a killer deal that I can’t pass it up. The problem that I run into with that, is I wind up getting the item home and I have nothing to do with it.  Then it sits in my closet for another year before I figure out how to use it. I’m ashamed to admit that there have even been instances where I have bought something and then never actually worn it. Before I know it, I’m getting rid of an item that still has the tags on it.

Basic tanks are one of my favorite items to stock up on at the end of the summer because you can continue to wear them year-round.  The tank that you are wearing now on its own can also be layered under a flannel in the fall time. Once winter rolls around, replace the flannel with a cardigan and a scarf and you are all set!  Then once the weather starts to warm up again, pair that same tank with a floral kimono and you’re good to go! One of the keys to dressing well on a budget is to re-utilize your pieces in numerous ways.  That is why when I find a good deal on a basic piece like a tank or a cami at the end of the summer, I have no problem stocking up!

You probably won’t find deals on the Amazon styles like you will on the Old Navy and Loft Outlet styles, but I wanted to include them anyway.  I have had both a few months now and am loving them. I definitely plan on carrying them into fall with me and they are well worth the prices that they are going for!
