Ever since this Coronavirus pandemic started causing major ramifications here in the US, I have really been tightening my purse strings. I have been limiting my spending and have been much more intentional about the purchases that I do make. I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and at this point, my job doesn’t seem to be in jeopardy. It would be foolish to think that I am invincible though. There’s no telling what kind of effect this virus could continue to have on our health or our economy. If you’re anything like me, you have been changing from one set of PJs to the next…

Spring Outfits from Loft
I cannot believe that spring is already almost here! Hopefully mother nature gets the memo and starts giving us warmer weather STAT. I’m not sure that warmer weather will correlate with a reduction in COVID cases like it seems to with the flu, but maybe we will at least be able to get outside to keep from going stir crazy while social distancing. To take my mind off of the impending pandemic, I took a trip to Loft at Greenway Station in Middleton, Wisconsin the other day. I tried on a hole bunch of Spring outfits from Loft! I will fully acknowledge that it may have not been the most…

Chicwish Puff Sleeve Sweater for Spring
Now is about the time of year when we are still *technically* in winter, but most of us here in the Midwest are longing for spring. On a day to day basis, it is hard to know what kind of weather we will get which makes outfit planning a not-so-simple task. Although we are in Lent and people are preparing for Easter and other springtime activities, the temps here are commonly in the 30’s. This is obviously not ideal for spring dresses and sandals. Now is the time that I like to start to heavily incorporate lighter shades and pastels/muted tones – even if it is in the form of…

Not Over-the-Top Pattern Mixing
Pattern mixing is not a new concept by any stretch of the imagination, but I have seen it done in some really over-the-top ways. While out-of-the-box colors and patterns might look great coming down the runway, they don’t always translate well into every-day Midwestern style. I think a lot of people tend to shy away from branching out and trying to mix patterns for fear of “not matching” or looking a little over the top. Since I am not one to shy away from trying new things and I’ve incorporated my fair share of pattern mixing into my outfits, I thought I would share some tips and tricks for NOT…

Chicwish Longline Cardigan From Winter to Spring
It may be the middle of February and we may still have another month (at LEAST) of winter to get through, but I have been thinking spring lately. I even already purchased my first pair of shorts earlier this week! 😳 Since I am starting to think spring, I thought that I would start taking this Chicwish longline cardigan from winter to spring *(For the record, this is the earliest in the year that I think I have ever bought a pair of shorts and it will probably be at least another 4 months before I can even wear them. If you are curious about what pair of shorts were…

I am in the Amazon Associates Program!
If you have been paying attention even just the slightest bit, you already know that I LOVE a good Amazon find! I swear about 90% of the outfits I wear and share incorporate at least one item that I got from Amazon. (I haven’t actually done the math, so don’t quote me on that! It wouldn’t surprise me if it were true though!) I honestly wasn’t even fully aware that this program existed! (Yes, it’s very possible that I live under a rock). I was so thrilled when someone from Amazon reached out to me and invited me to join their Amazon Associates program though! Of course, I obliged, and…

Affordable Winter Date Night Outfits
I can’t believe that Valentine’s Day is only a little over a week away! Normally my boyfriend and I like to grab a nice dinner on or around Valentine’s Day and I like to dress up a little when we do that. The issue tends to be that February 14th falls right smack dab in the middle of winter in Wisconsin. The weather is usually bitterly cold which doesn’t lend well to having a hot date night. If you have ever experienced a Midwest winter, you know that dressing cute in the frigid temps is something that is easier said than done. That is why I wanted to share some…

Chicwish Pom-Pom Sweater from Day to Night
If there is one thing that I try and look for in every piece of clothing that I buy, it is versatility. I think that buying an item with the intention to only wear it once is such a waste in many ways. When I saw this sweater on Chicwish I fell in love with the pom details and ideas for how to wear it immediately started swirling around in my head. Usually, when pieces trigger these reactions for me, they tend to be winners and this pom sweater was no exception. Since Valentine’s day is coming up and it happens to fall on a Friday this year, I figured…

Current Pajamas and Loungewear Faves
I have been wanting to round up some sleepwear/loungewear looks for a while now. There’s very little in this world that I love more than being able to stay in my pj’s all day. In fact, the introvert in me needs days like that occasionally to recoup and re-energize. Even though the chances of anyone seeing me when I’m in my PJs are slim to none, I still prefer to wear cozy clothes that I think are still cute. Since there is no better time than winter to stay cozied up inside, I figured now would be the perfect time to share some of my current pajamas and loungewear faves!…

6 Different Ways to Wear 1 Green Cardigan
I have always loved a good cardigan. When you want to try and dress well on a budget, versatility is key. A basic like cardigan can be worn in an endless number of ways, which is why I will probably always be a sucker for a good cardi. When I saw this one in Old Navy, I fell in love with the color of it. The hue is muted enough to make it fairly neutral, but I don’t have a ton of green in my closet, so it was something a little different for me. When I got it home, I realized that I had even more to wear with…
