    My Current Free People Favorites

Most days I am a pretty budget conscious shopper.  I’ve never been someone who is concerned with the name of the brand that I’m wearing. I know that for every $200 pair of jeans, there is a $30 pair somewhere out there that fits just as well.  I’m totally someone who gets a huge thrill out of finding a great deal on an item I find on the clearance rack. Free People is one brand, however, that I have no problem spending more than I typically would for a piece. I’ve built up a little bit of a collection of Free People pieces because I shop their brand so often.…

One Kimono a Couple of Ways

Is there anything better than a kimono when it comes to layering pieces?! There are so many varieties of kimonos and the options with them are endless! I love all the different colors, cuts, and prints that are available and it is pretty easy to find a good option for under $20. Also, I love how a kimono really elevates an outfit, so that is why I am sharing this one kimono a couple of ways. Early this spring, I had been looking to replace an older kimono that I had in my closet that had seen better days. Naturally, I took to Amazon, and their selection did not disappoint!…

I’m not entirely sure I’m actually going to buy a new outfit for Easter or if I will just find something in my closet. If I do buy an outfit, you better believe I’m going to spend as little as possible. Since I was shopping around anyways, I thought I would share some of my finds! All of these Easter outfits are under $100! There are so many cute options out there, but these are a few of my faves! I don’t love…

Snake Skin Print Top with Mad Jade

Ok, so I have to be upfront and honest before I get too far into this post, but I had never heard of Mad Jade before now! They found me and I’m so glad that they did!  Their site has so many cute and eclectic items. Everything seems to be very fairly priced too! As soon as I saw this top, I knew that I had to have it! I mentioned that snake print is one of the things that I’m most excited about right now in my blog post about the 2019 spring/summer trends that I’m digging.  When I saw this top and then saw that it was on…

    Baseball outfits for Opening Day

If there is one thing that you need to know about me, it is that I LOVE baseball – mainly the Brewers! I grew up about 1.5 hours from Milwaukee, and every year my dad would try to make it a point to take my brother and me to a ball game. We made so many great memories together at the ballpark. Those childhood experiences are definitely what ingrained the love for the game that I have today. Growing up, I would always struggle with what to wear to Brewer’s games. Because we lived so far away, we always made a day-long event out of heading to the ballpark. So…

    My Current Favorite Accessories

No outfit is complete without the perfect accessories, right? The perfectly paired bracelet or scarf can take a good outfit and make it great! The best part about accessories is that pairing them with an older article of clothing that you might be a little tired of can completely update it and make you love it again. And if you shop like I do, a new pair of earrings tend to be cheaper than a new blouse or dress. Accessories tend to be a little more timeless and versatile than clothing as well. Thus, updating a few accessories can be a very cost-effective way of staying on trend without breaking…

One Cardigan, a Few Ways with Discovery

Today I wanted to share this cardigan that I found at Discovery Clothing. I’ve been blogging now for almost 5 months and I’ve been sharing a lot of Discovery finds on Instagram, but I really haven’t had the chance to share anything on here yet.  I think that Discovery is an underrated store. They have a website and multiple locations throughout the Midwest and in Florida, but when I tell most people about it, they haven’t heard of it. So I just wanted to take the chance to share what I like about Discovery as well as my tips for shopping there. What I like most about Discovery: Discovery is…

Dressing for Spring in the Dead of Winter

It is still the dead of winter here in Wisconsin but now is about the time when I start to itch for spring. To compound my eagerness for the season to change, it seems like this is when ALL of the other bloggers and content creators that I follow along with are either 1) from the South where the weather is actually starting to warm up or 2) going on luxurious looking vacations where the weather is beautiful.   That is just not my reality, and honestly, that’s totally OK with me! I’m Wisconsin born and raised, so a little (or a lot) of cold and/or snow doesn’t really bother…

    Spring/Summer 2019 Trends I’m Diggin’

It is the absolute dead of winter here in Wisconsin, but I can’t stop thinking about spring!  I already have a bunch of warmer-weather outfits that I am so ready to bust out of my closet. Unfortunately for me, I might be waiting longer than I’d like to before I get to don these threads.  Last year, winter ran well into April. Who knows when spring will decide to arrive this year! In the meantime, I thought that I would share the 2019 spring/summer trends that I’m digging and excited to partake in. 1. White Boots Ok, if you ask anyone who follows fashion closely, they would tell you that…

    With Love, From Wisconsin

I have always enjoyed Valentine’s Day. I think it’s such a fun and lighthearted holiday and the perfect excuse to tell ANYONE who is important to you how much they mean to you – I am definitely not on the train that Valentine’s Day is reserved only for couples. Although I really do like Valentine’s Day, I’m not a huge fan of how corporate/capitalist America has used it as an excuse to shove red and pink heart themed everything down your throat. If you plan on giving a gift (or gifts) for Valentine’s Day, like any other gift, it should be something that is thoughtful. That is why I have…
