Chicwish Pom-Pom Sweater from Day to Night

If there is one thing that I try and look for in every piece of clothing that I buy, it is versatility. I think that buying an item with the intention to only wear it once is such a waste in many ways. When I saw this sweater on Chicwish I fell in love with the pom details and ideas for how to wear it immediately started swirling around in my head. Usually, when pieces trigger these reactions for me, they tend to be winners and this pom sweater was no exception. Since Valentine’s day is coming up and it happens to fall on a Friday this year, I figured that I would share some day to night looks with the Chicwish pom-pom sweater.

Chicwish Pom-Pom Sweater with Jeans and boots or mules

Pairing anything with skinny jeans tends to be my go-to, so I will start here.  This sweater is cropped, so if you don’t want to expose your midriff, I would recommend going with a high waisted pair. During the cooler months, wear a pair of boots and as the weather starts to warm, switch out the boots for some slides and you’re all set!

This look was the very first one I thought of when I was thinking of ways to wear this sweater. I’ve seen quite a few others wearing similar outfits and I think the mere exposure effect has caused the look to really grow on me. The nice thing about this sweater is that it is a neutral color and can be paired with black, tan or grey over-the-knee boots and a mini skirt. So regardless of what pair (or pairs) you have, you could totally make it work.

This look is probably my favorite one listed here, but I almost didn’t share it! I had bought the skirt for about $8 from Ross three or four years ago. And as much as I love the look, I almost didn’t share it because I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to link to the exact skirt. The skirt has a common enough cut and print that there are plenty of similars out there though. Since the sweater is such a neutral color, re-creating this look is completely do-able!

Ok, I’ll be really honest here.  I styled this outfit together and took pictures in it for the purpose of this blog post, but I have not had a reason to wear it in real life and that really bums me out! This outfit makes me feel kind of like the real-life version of Elsa from Frozen! I think it could make the perfect date-night look or a great option to wear to a winter wedding.

Chicwish Pom-Pom Sweater with Velour Joggers and Slippers

I wanted to share this look in case your Valentine’s day plans include nothing more than curling up on the couch with a glass of wine and your cat. (That sounds like my ideal Friday night, TBH). Although it’s cute, this sweater is also soft and cozy enough to be worn as lounge or sleepwear as well! (For more sleep/loungewear inspo, check out the blog post write up I did on it!)

I hope one of these ideas was useful and has inspired you! Chicwish had been one of my favorite places to online shop lately.  They have so many fun and unique pieces. They did gift me this sweater, but as always, all statements and opinions are my own!

As always, thank you so much for reading!
