I have always wondered how celebrities and musicians all seem to have such brilliantly stark white teeth. I’ve been to enough live shows to recognize that performers have just as gorgeous smiles in person as they do in magazine articles and on album covers. Based on that, I felt that it was safe to conclude that there was something that they must be doing to their teeth. It wasn’t just a good photoshop job in the printed publications.
I figured based on their celebrity and status, they must know something that I didn’t about teeth whitening. I had tried on numerous occasions to lift stains from my teeth, but nothing ever worked for me. Kinds of toothpaste that touted whitening power made no noticeable difference on my teeth. White strips seemed to work, but I could never use them for more than a few applications. They caused extremely uncomfortable sensitivity that just wasn’t worth continued usage for me. Finding a good teeth whitening system for sensitive teeth seemed impossible! I assumed that the elite probably had access and money for some really great cosmetic dentistry that I didn’t.
I Found the Secret!
I had heard about at-home whitening trays and was always curious about them. Based on my experience with at-home teeth whitening however, I was skeptical about trying them for myself. Trays are not the lowest-cost option out there. I certainly didn’t want to drop the money on yet another teeth whitening system that didn’t work for me. Especially if it was a whitening system that cost double the other options I had tried in the past.

Trying their product was something that I was open to! But what if I had the same lackluster results as other products that I had tried in the past? I try to be a very transparent person – I am actually a TERRIBLE liar! So I knew that I wouldn’t be able to enthusiastically share about a product that didn’t actually work for me.

My Results with the Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth:
I have to say, I am so glad that I decided to try it. This system actually worked for me! I finally found teeth whitening that worked even for sensitive teeth like mine!
When you order any one of their systems, you get a tray that is custom-fitted to your teeth. You are sent impression trays and a “putty” mixture so that you can take your own impressions of your teeth. You send in your impressions to the Smile Brilliant lab. They then use the impressions to make a custom tray specifically for your teeth. This is essentially a professional teeth whitening system, without having to go to the dentist.
I wound up going with the sensitive system since I had issues with sensitivity with other whitening options that I had tried in the past. With the sensitive system, you are sent desensitizing gel along with the whitening gel. After you are done whitening, you apply the desensitizing gel for 20 minutes and it helps the pores in your teeth close up so that you don’t feel the sensitivity. It is just an extra step in the process, but one that was well worth it for me.
Tips for Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth:
I could go on and on about my experience with the Smile Brilliant whitening system, but most information that I would share with you can be found on the Smile Brilliant website. I did think that it might be helpful to share my personal tips for the system that I found useful:
Whiten at night just before bed
Doing this will help you avoid eating or drinking anything that would reverse the whitening that you just did (ie; coffee, wine, etc)
Plan to block out at least 1.5 hours to whiten
When it’s all said and done, the nightly process takes about an hour and a half. This includes the time it takes to whiten, desensitize, brush and floss.
It is not necessary to whiten every single day
If your teeth or gums start to become sensitive or you simply don’t have the time, it is not necessary to whiten every single day for 10-15 days straight. You will still see fantastic results if you are only able to whiten every other day or 3-4 days a week.
Results are more noticeable when you whiten multiple days in a row
I will be honest though and say that when I was able to dedicate 3-4 days in a row to whiten, I saw more drastic results than when I was whitening more sporadically.
I started noticing results after about 8 sessions
Patience is a virtue! It did take about 8 sessions for me to really start noticing the results both in person and on camera.
I haven’t yet used all of the whitening gel, but intend to
One syringe of whitening gel will last you three to four sessions. So far, I have used 3 of my syringes but still have one more left. I plan to continue using the rest of my whitening gel so that I can get the most out of the system.
I plan to whiten again in about 6 months
